I have 3 kids and their friends that keep damaging the home computers. They treat computers really bad. So after 2 to 4 months they become slow and full of problems, unknown software, etc. ...Then it is time for Farstone to reinstall the image.... In few minutes the computer is back on track, couple of more minutes to update software patches. Finally get a new computer image and ready for the next challenge. The same process without Farstone could take 1 to 2 days.

We have about 16 CNC machines that keep our remanufacturing shop running. One of the flaws of these CNC machines is that surrounding the computer the temperature fluctuates, vibration is enviable and power fluctuations happen every time the CNC moves! The computers have been built tough with dampers and power conditioners that could run a server room but the one thing they forgot about was the hard drive. It is directly over power vent and endures a pounding on a regular basis. We figured out that when a hard drive goes down we can loose up to $500,000 in loss time and materials that could have been processed. So we decided to convert all of the hard drives over to compact flash drives with the help of an IDE to compact flash adapter. Your program was critical and will continue to be critical to the success of this project, with the help of Drive Clone we have been able to make backup copies of our CNC's and also transfer the images to the compact flash drive making our situation with the CNC a whole lot more reliable. We have a process in place that takes about 5 hours and we clone every machine once a month to ensure data recoverability. Your product has saved us in many other ways more than I could ever begin to write about. Thanks for making a great product and the A+ support your company has.

Hi, We are IT consultant outfit in Westchester, NY . Recently we had a PC with a hard (40GB) drive going bad.t was still up running, but it was making clicking noises on and off. We connected a new 80GB HDD as secondary to the Primary HD for cloning. We initially try to clone it with Norton Ghost but it kept on "crashing" during the cloning process. Next we try it with HD Clone Pro . It was very slow and it was not able to resize the new hard drive. After no success, we tried DriveClone. We installed it and clone the drive with the resize hdd enabled. We are VERY HAPPY to say it did the job for us. We will definitely recommend to all our customers because it's inexpensive and it does the job as advertised. Five big stars ***** Thank you, Y. J. Chen

I have been a customer since I received a demo of RestoreIT on one of my graphic card's companion CDs. When DC Pro came out I upgraded in order to back up my Vista Business OS installation. So, the first thing I did was to create a fresh complete backup image (password protected) -with just the needed drivers and the available OS updates to date- and save it into a bootable DVD (I love this DC option) with the universal feature on, of course. A couple of weeks after doing that, and as one of my SATA HDs was faulty -didn't know at that time I must admit- my whole system went "no-no", so I had to recover it from scratch. I reformatted my HD -not really needed, but just in case, then inserted the bootable DVD with the complete system image and finally restarted the computer. After DC Pro was loaded into memory, and before the restoration procedure started, I was correctly prompted for my password. So, I entered the password and ... what? wrong password ... noooo! Please tell me this is a joke, where's the camera? C'mon! Tried again and again but no, still wrong password, so I took a long breath, drunk some water and suddenly, as a lightningbolt strike, it occurred to me ... wait! It cannot be ... I'm not that lazybones ... yes! When I first created the password I forgot to turn CAPS LOCK off. So, I entered again the correct password and from that moment on, everything went ok, so my whole system was restored just nicely. BTW, some weeks later I realized that my HD was faulty -having done some tests- so I bought a new one and used the image DVD again without any problems. Great tool!

Well, my story is kind of funny! I collect computers as a hobby! I fix them up to make them better. Or sometimes even an old computers can be used for other things. But this one I thought was "DEAD" because it came from my X-WIFE! She knows nothing about computers and how to keep them working right and up-to date. And she can't even keep a house clean. Do you think she can keep a computer clean. This includes free from viruses. "NOT"...! I opened the computer up and there was over an inch of dust and cat and dog hair inside of it....all over the motherboard. I figured it was a goner. I figure she fried it. Well, I gave it a real good cleaning. I bought a 400 GIG drive to replace the wimpy 40 GIG drive. First I wrapped the 40 GIG drive in some paper towels and put it inside a few zipped lock bags in a FREEZER for a few hours. This allowed me to get the bearings to shrink down and get one last use out of them. You also have to make sure you don' t get any moisture on the hard drive. Anyway, I was able to get the information of the 40 GIG drive especially "the O/S off" and was able to rebuild the computer from that with out having to buy another XP HOME EDITION DISK. Since I was using the original computer it was loaded on. Plus, the computer has the ID LABEL XP KEYS on the back of it. From there I can load all my owned software on the computer. And now it is up and running. I also bought more memory and another 400 GIG hard drive. And a fancy 256 Video Card for it. I will use it for my MUSIC COMPUTER. I never keep my original CD's in my car or nor do I play my original CD's. I keep virtual images on the computer. I burn copies. This way if they get damaged or scratched I can always go back to the original CD. Also, one time I had my car broken into and had a bunch of my CD's stolen. This way I never have to worry about having my original CD's stolen. Also, one really cold winter I had a CD crack right down the middle just because of a temperature change from the car warming up. In time I think CD's will be HISTORY!!! Likewise with DVD's. They made them to easy to get scratched or damaged.

one time i was playing starcraft when my cat jumps on the keyboard and starts jumping around!! i got mad so i took it outside when i notice my computer froze. so i restarted my computer until i found out it my uninstall button on the game!(i don't know why i even had that icon) so i begin to rummage around my room when i aciddently stepped on my cd. after hours of shouting and anger management(jk:D) i check my computer to see that if i use driveclone to save my disk, well it took me minutes before i found my game in some other file. so in the end of the day: the cat got wet, reinstalled my game, killed alot of aliens:D.

My Intel Motherboard with a warranty of 3 years had just failed within 9 months flat, and since I had got throughly disgusted with the premium brand failing me as also their apathetic replacement philosophy, I had bought myself a Gigabyte branded Motherboard. That's when I decided to do a clean install of Windows XP Home SP2. That done and all patches applied, I loaded my usual office suite, productivity & entertainment software (It was a pain locationg the licensing information, Serial Numbers and Codes). I then set-up my Firewall, Antivirus & finally the email client. All this took me about 3-4 hours of efforts daily for over a week ! I wanted to be prepared for an emergency situation, and purchased and installed 2 industry major backup/recovery softwares : Acronis True Image Home and Driveclone Pro . I then took the image of my Hard Disk on two separate portable USB Hard Disks, using these two programs . I then thought I was safe and cushy, and could be adventurous... This was as of 3-4 days ago. Today, as I installed and uninstalled a few programs / freeware from a Computer Magazine CD, my windows started freezing at the startup screen. I thought of reversing the damage and went confidentally to my Acronis backup. After completing about 80% of the restoreation, it showed an error, apparently with my PC's main Hard Disk (Bad Sectors !) and refused to move ahead. Exasperated, I quit and throught of my second lifesaver...DriveClone Pro. I plugged-in the portable disk with my DriveClone Pro image, booted from the rescue Disk with Universal Restore enabled, and within 12 minutes I could restore the HDD to the fine state I had some 4 days ago ! I did a throught disk diagnostics session, and my main Hard Disk does not have any errors that the Acronis fellow reported ! This is the first usage of my fit-as-a fiddle PC after DriveClone Pro resurrected it from near-death. I am choosing to write in to you to thank you profoundly. Thanks to you, the folks at DriveClone Pro , I am functional with my PC today. God Bless and keep up the good work. As regards the other guy, I 'm gonna ask my money back ( they have a 30 day moneyback policy...lets see if they honour at least that, since their software doesn't work as promised).I'm the guy my colleagues often turn to for informal PC related advise and you can bet on which backup & restoration software I'm going to recommend to them. DriveClone Pro, NO DOUBT !
